Today, during the European Modern Pentathlon Championships in Istanbul, a ceremony was held to sign a Cooperation Agreement between the Turkish Modern Pentathlon Federation and the Belarusian Modern Pentathlon Federation.
The ceremony was attended by: President of the Turkish Modern Pentathlon Federation (TMPF) Serhat Aydın, TMPF Secretary General Tolga Kınık, and Executive Director of the Belarusian Modern Pentathlon Federation Olga Karpovich.
The parties congratulated each other on the successful performances of their athletes at the European Championships, discussed a number of issues regarding joint preparation of pentathletes for upcoming competitions, including the possibility of organizing joint training camps in Belarus and Turkey, exchanging experience in the lead-up to the 2027 European Games , organizing joint events to promote modern pentathlon and strengthen partnership relations between the two federations, and exchanged commemorative gifts.
Mr. Aydın noted the high level of the Belarusian women's team in modern pentathlon. In turn, the Belarusian side invited the Turkish team to participate in the "Cup of the Strongest Athletes," which will be held in Minsk in September 2026.
