On August 5, the men's qualification rounds in Groups A, B, and C took place at the European Modern Pentathlon Championships in Istanbul, Turkey. Eight athletes from Belarus took part in the competition: Vladislav Berezovik, Zakhar Sivitsky, Vladislav Nesterov, Ivan Khamtsau, Vladislav Melkozerov, Maxim Maruk, Evgeny Orel, and Maxim Fedotko.
Following the qualification, six Belarusians advanced to the semifinals. However, according to competition rules, no more than four athletes per country may represent their nation in the semifinals. The Belarusian athletes who will continue the competition are: Vladislav Nesterov, Ivan Khamtsau, Vladislav Melkozerov, and Maxim Maruk.
Group A
In Group A, Vladislav Berezovik delivered consistent results across all disciplines and finished in 10th place with 1569 points, securing his spot in the semifinals. Zakhar Sivitsky finished in 18th position (1523 points), which also allowed him to advance to the next round.

Group B
In Group B, Belarusians dominated in fencing, claiming the top three spots in wins: Ivan Khamtsau was the best (17 wins), Vladislav Melkozerov took second (16 wins), and Vladislav Nesterov finished third (14 wins). All three finished in the top 6 of the group.

Group C
In Group C, Maxim Maruk stood out with the second-best results in both fencing and obstacle racing, while Maxim Fedotko posted the fastest swimming time. Based on the qualification results, Maxim Maruk finished second (1586 points), Evgeny Orel took third (1578 points), and Maxim Fedotko, unfortunately, finished in 19th place (1507 points) and did not advance to the semifinals.

Thus, six Belarusian pentathletes advanced to the men's semifinals: Vladislav Berezovik, Zakhar Sivitsky, Vladislav Melkozerov, Ivan Khamtsau, Vladislav Nesterov, Maxim Maruk, and Evgeny Orel. From these, four have been selected to represent Belarus in the semifinals: Vladislav Nesterov, Ivan Khamtsau, Vladislav Melkozerov, and Maxim Maruk.
Women's Ranking Fencing
On August 5, the women's ranking fencing also took place, which will determine the starting positions for the semifinals. In Group A, Anastasia Orel finished 10th and Irina Prosentsova finished 12th. In Group B, Maria Gnedchik posted the 7th-best result, while Violetta Gureeva finished 11th.
