The third stage of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup has started in Budapest, Hungary. Among its participants are eight athletes from Belarus. This is the first competition in which our athletes are competing under their national flag.
On June 9, the women's qualification rounds took place. Based on the results, Maria Gnedchik and Milana Pevets advanced to Semifinal A. Belarusian Violetta Gureeva will compete in Semifinal B. Belarusian Natalya Savenkova finished at the bottom of the Group A qualification standings (823 points).
The men will begin their medal contention on June 10. The following athletes have taken the start: Vladislav Nesterov and Ivan Khamtsau (Group B), Vladislav Melkozerov and Maxim Maruk (Group C).
The semifinals and finals of the third World Cup stage will be broadcast live on the Belarus 5 TV channel.
